Art education is a gateway to knowledge. Through visual images, art can engage students with interdisciplinary subjects. As an art educator, I have an opportunity to enrich students’ lives through a curriculum based on ideas and themes that can connect to daily learning subjects. Art can transform spaces and minds by opening doors to diversity, inclusion, and acceptance by integrating different artists, cultures, and art methods into lesson plans and units!
While learning creative skills and methods, students will be engaged through questions about and observation of culture, history, and nature.
An art studio is an inviting space where students can feel comfortable exploring ideas, sharing their visions, collaborating, and being inspired.
